Saraha news- Run Jordan is celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Independence day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and participating in the Global Running Day around the world by organizing a community running event on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Marj Al-Hamam Park (Al-Nashama Park). The event will bring together runners of all ages in an atmosphere that promotes a healthy and active lifestyle while encouraging greater participation in running.
This event forms part of the Kingdom’s celebrations of the 80th Independence Anniversary and coincides with Global Running Day, an international occasion celebrated annually around the world through running activities that promote awareness of the physical, mental, and social benefits of the sport. Run Jordan organizes this event annually in Jordan as part of its commitment to supporting this global movement and highlighting the positive impact of running on individuals and communities.
Run Jordan emphasized that this occasion represents an important opportunity to encourage people to embrace running and make physical activity an integral part of their daily lives, noting that running remains one of the most accessible sports for people of all ages and fitness levels.
Ms. Lina El Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan, stated that Global Running Day is an opportunity to celebrate the power of sport and its ability to bring people together around shared goals related to health, well-being, and quality of life.
“We continue throughout the year to organize running events and initiatives that promote a culture of physical activity within the community and encourage individuals to engage in regular exercise, contributing positively to their overall health and quality of life,” El Kurd added.
Run Jordan invited members of the community to participate in the event and enjoy its sporting and social atmosphere in celebration of Global Running Day and in recognition of the importance of movement and active living.
Meanwhile, Run Jordan continues its preparations for the 2026 Women’s Race, scheduled to take place on June 12 at Al Hussein Public Parks. The race is the only event of its kind in Jordan dedicated exclusively to women and girls and aims to encourage female participation in sports while promoting healthy and active lifestyles.
